1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing womansclubsp.com, applying for membership, renting our Clubhouse, making a donation, registering for events, or providing your contact information to receive communications from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

2. About The Woman's Club of South Pasadena

The Woman's Club of South Pasadena ("the Club," "we," "us," or "our") is a 501(c) non-profit organization founded in 1899. The Club is dedicated to service, philanthropy, and building connections among women of all ages. We operate a historic 1913 Clubhouse listed on South Pasadena's Cultural Heritage Inventory, which serves both as our home and as an event venue for members and the public.

3. Services We Offer

The Club provides the following services through our website and operations:

• Membership in our women's service organization
• Venue rental of our historic Clubhouse for weddings, parties, memorials, corporate events, and other gatherings
• Donations in support of our philanthropic activities, including scholarships and community service projects
• Events including educational programs, fundraisers, social gatherings, and member meetings
• Communications by email and SMS regarding our programs and your engagement with the Club

4. Membership

Club membership is open to women in accordance with the Club's bylaws. By becoming a member, you agree to:

• Pay annual membership dues as set by the Club
• Comply with the Club's bylaws, policies, and code of conduct
• Receive Club communications about meetings, events, and activities

Membership may be modified or revoked in accordance with the Club's bylaws. Annual dues are non-refundable except as required by law or in cases of demonstrable error.

5. Venue Rental

Rental of the Clubhouse is governed by a separate rental agreement that you will sign at the time of booking. The rental agreement includes specific terms regarding:

• Rental fees, deposits, and payment schedule
• Cancellation and refund policies
• Permitted uses, capacity limits, and event timing
• Insurance and liability requirements
• Cleaning, damage, and security deposit terms
• Vendor and catering restrictions

These general Terms of Service do not replace or modify the specific terms of any signed rental agreement. In case of conflict between these general Terms and a signed rental agreement, the rental agreement controls for rental-specific matters.

6. Donations

Donations to The Woman's Club of South Pasadena support our philanthropic mission, including scholarships for local students and community service projects.

• Donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law
• Tax receipts will be provided for donations of $250 or more, and are available upon request for smaller donations
• Donations are non-refundable except in cases of demonstrable error or as required by law
• Recurring donations may be cancelled at any time by contacting us

7. SMS Communications

7.1 Program Description

The Woman's Club of South Pasadena operates an SMS text messaging program to deliver communications to members, donors, event participants, and individuals who have inquired about our services. Participation in the SMS program is voluntary.

7.2 Types of Messages

Messages sent through this program include:

• Confirmations and follow-ups to inquiries you submit through our website
• Venue rental coordination, scheduling, and reminders
• Event invitations, RSVPs, and reminders
• Membership renewal and dues reminders
• Fundraiser, gala, and philanthropic event notifications
• General Club updates relevant to your engagement with us

7.3 Consent

By providing your phone number through any of our website contact forms, our membership application, our venue rental inquiry form, or directly to a Club representative, AND by checking the SMS consent checkbox (or otherwise affirming your consent), you expressly agree to receive SMS text messages from The Woman's Club of South Pasadena.

SMS consent is not a condition of membership, donation, or venue rental. You may engage with the Club fully without enrolling in SMS communications.

7.4 Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your relationship with the Club and the activities you are engaged in. During active event planning, venue rental coordination, or fundraising periods, you may receive more frequent messages.

7.5 Costs

Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier may charge for text messages sent to or received from the Club. Contact your mobile carrier for details about your plan.

7.6 Opt-Out Instructions

You can cancel the SMS program at any time. Reply STOP to any message you receive from us to unsubscribe from all SMS communications. After replying STOP, you will receive one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed. To rejoin, sign up again through our website or reply START.

7.7 Help Instructions

7.8 Supported Carriers

The SMS program is available on most major U.S. mobile carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Boost, U.S. Cellular, MetroPCS, Virgin Mobile, and Cricket. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

7.9 Privacy

Phone numbers and SMS consent data are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

7.10 SMS Service Provider

SMS delivery is provided through Twilio, our messaging service provider, which processes phone numbers solely to deliver messages on our behalf.

8. Acceptable Use of Our Website

When using womansclubsp.com, you agree not to:

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you have paid to the Club in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
